Manav Sampada UP eHRMS: Login, Leave, Salary Slip & Service Book (2026 Guide)
Everything in one place — the correct default password, how to log in, find your Employee ID, apply for leave, download your salary slip and check your service book, explained in plain, simple steps.
If you are a Uttar Pradesh government employee — a teacher, a health worker, a clerk, or an officer — the Manav Sampada (eHRMS) portal is now where your entire service life lives online. Work that once meant carrying files and visiting offices — leave, transfer orders, salary slips, your service book — now takes just a few clicks.
This guide doesn’t only list the steps. It also points out the small, real problems where most people get stuck — the exact default password format, the actual reason an OTP doesn’t arrive, and how to stop a leave request from being rejected. That practical detail is what sets this page apart from the usual guides.
What you can do on Manav Sampada UP
Manav Sampada (eHRMS), built by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), is a complete HR system — not just a login page. Once your account is active, you can:
- Manage your profile & service record — view and request updates to personal, address and family details.
- Apply for leave online — CL, EL, medical, maternity, CCL and more, with real-time status tracking.
- Download your salary slip — month-wise pay details without visiting the office.
- Open your e-Service Book — a verified digital record of appointments, promotions and transfers.
- View transfer & posting orders — see and download issued orders.
- Access ACR & Fact Sheet (P2) — your annual report and full service summary.
How to log in to Manav Sampada UP (step by step)
Logging in takes under a minute — just fill each field carefully.
- Open the official portal Go to ehrms.upsdc.gov.in. Always check that the URL contains upsdc.gov.in and shows the lock icon — that confirms the site is genuine.
- Click “eHRMS Login”
You’ll find the login link in the top-right corner of the homepage.
The “eHRMS Login” button sits in the top-right menu of the homepage. - Select your department Choose the correct department from the dropdown (Basic Education teachers select Directorate of Basic Education). The wrong department will stop your ID from opening.
- Enter your User ID & password Type your Employee ID and password. First-time users should use the default password format below.
- Type the CAPTCHA and click Login
The CAPTCHA is case-sensitive — copy the capital and small letters exactly as shown, then click the green Login button.
Enter the CAPTCHA exactly as shown, then click Login. - Verify the OTP An OTP is sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it and click Validate — your dashboard will open.
Default password — the correct format
Many websites get this wrong (some say date of birth in DDMMYYYY). The real default password is built like this:
RAJ1981 — name Rajesh, born 1981
VIK1976 — name Vikas, born 1976
What to do on your first login
After your first login: create a strong new password (at least 8 characters — a capital, a small letter, a number and a special character, e.g. Rajesh@123), verify your mobile and email, and check your service details (joining date, designation, office). If anything is wrong, don’t edit it yourself — get it corrected through your DDO / BRC office.
How to find your Manav Sampada Employee ID
Your Employee ID is issued by your department (you don’t register yourself). If you don’t know your ID, here’s where to find it:
- On official documents — your appointment/joining letter, ID card, or salary slip all show your Employee ID.
- From your nodal officer — each school/district has a Manav Sampada nodal officer, the most reliable source.
- Via the public Fact Sheet report — in the portal’s public reports, use Advance Search, pick your department and district, search By Employee Name, and your ID will appear in the report.
How to apply for leave on Manav Sampada
Before you can apply, you must add a Reporting Officer once (Online Leave → Add Reporting Officer → enter your officer’s details, e.g. the BEO, and save). After that:
- Open Apply Leave and choose the leave type — the system counts the days for you.
- Enter the From–To dates, the reason, and your address during leave.
- Upload a document as PDF if the leave type needs one (keep it under 2 MB).
- Submit — you’ll get a confirmation SMS.
Which document to upload for each leave type
| Leave Type | Required document |
|---|---|
| Casual Leave (CL) | None — just the dates, reason and your address. |
| Medical Leave | Registered doctor’s certificate + medical reports; on return, fitness & charge report (done online at BRC). |
| Maternity Leave | Hospital/doctor documents and reports, combined in order into one PDF. |
| Child Care Leave (CCL) | Application signed by your head + affidavit + child’s birth proof — one PDF (up to 2 MB). |
| Study Leave | Admission letter from a recognised institution + proof of course duration. |
What your leave status means (and what to do)
After applying, go to Leave → Leave Status / History to see your application. Here’s what each status means and your next step:
| Status | Meaning | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Awaiting your officer’s approval. | Follow up with the reporting officer after 48 hours. |
| Approved | Leave sanctioned. | Save or print the sanction record. |
| Rejected | Application turned down. | Read the reason in “Remarks”, fix it, and re-apply. |
How to download your salary slip
After login, open the Salary / Pay Slip (or Employee Services) section → select the month and year → click View / Download → save the PDF. If the option isn’t visible, contact your department’s accounts/HR section — that month’s data may not be updated yet.
Viewing your service book and transfer orders
Your e-Service Book is your verified digital employment record — it holds entries for appointment, promotion, pay, leave and transfers. After login, open the Service Book section to view it. If an entry looks wrong, report it to your HR/nodal officer for correction (you can’t edit it yourself).
To see a transfer/posting order, go to Employee Services → Transfer/Posting. If no order appears, either no transfer has been issued or your department hasn’t updated it yet.
The m-STHAPANA mobile app
For HR tasks on the go, the m-STHAPANA app lets you apply for leave, check status and view pay slips from your phone. Download it only from the official Google Play Store or Apple App Store and verify the publisher is the UP government/UPSDC. Never install the app from a third-party APK or an unknown link — those can be phishing attempts.
5 common mistakes people make
- Reusing an old CAPTCHA — whenever you change a field, type a fresh CAPTCHA, or you’ll get “invalid”.
- Mixing up O vs 0 and l vs I — the most common slip in both CAPTCHA and password.
- Trying the default after a reset — once you’ve reset the password, the default will never work again.
- Applying for leave without a reporting officer — the application won’t be forwarded at all.
- Uploading a PDF larger than 2 MB — it won’t upload; compress the file first.
